The Symposium will take place in Făgăraş, Romania, between July 9th and 12th, 2014.
Considering your specific interests and competences we invite you to take part in this event, and we would like to mention the fact that the papers presented at the Symposium will be edited in a distinct volume.
The main themes to be discussed at the Symposium will be centred on:
* Social Identities in Communism
* Cultural Identities in Communism
* Ethnic Identities in Communism
* Religious Identities in Communism
* Museum capitalizing of Communist history
Considering that a Memorial for the Anti-communist Resistance in Făgăraş will be set up in the respective region, we would also like to consult your experience relating to similar initiatives.
Therefore, we kindly ask you to inform us on your willingness to participate in the Symposium by April 30, 2014 and send us the title of your paper and a 150-200 word abstract of it.
During the Symposium, each presentation will last 15 minutes. The presentations and debates will be held in Romanian and English. The organizers will support the costs of the participants’ accommodation and meals.
