CALL FOR APPLICATION
The Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM), Vienna, is organizing the Young Scientists Forum on Central and South East Europe
Aims of the project:
- Motivation and reinforcement of young scientists to engage in the region Central and South East Europe;
- Presentation of research projects for the public;
- Promoting exchange of information and creation of networking;
- Promotion of mobility;
- Publication of the lectures in a well-known journal;
Target group:
Young scientists from/residing in Austria, Central and South East Europe dealing with South
East Europe* in the fields of economics, geography, history, law, political sciences and
sociology.
Date and location:
The symposium will take place in December 4-6, 2008 in Vienna.
Program:
- Lectures by high level experts and young scientists;
- Presentation of research papers/projects prepared by the participants;
- (Plenary) discussions;
- Information on EU measures of promotion of science;
- Excursion on the 6th of December
Applications:
Applications for participation may be handed in by e-mail until April 1st, 2008 and should
include a CV and an abstract (2 pages) of the research project/paper that shall be presented
and discussed at the symposium.
Subsidy for travel expenses can be granted in selected cases.
Low-budget accommodation is organised by IDM, the costs can be granted in selected cases.
