ANDREW W. MELLON RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS 2010-2011

The Albright Institute, the oldest American research center in the Middle East, provides an unparalleled international cultural environment and a unique program which spans the broad spectrum of Near Eastern studies from prehistory to the early Islamic period.

Three three-month Mellon fellowships are available in any area within the interests of the Albright. Fellowships are open to Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Rumanian, and Slovak post-doctoral researchers.

Each fellowship award is $11,500, which covers a stipend, including all living, subsistence, travel and shipping costs. Funds are administered for the Mellon Foundation by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers. Applications must be received by March 15, 2010.
