Deadline: CRASSH Fellowship Competitions 2012-13

31/10/2011

Deadline: 12pm Monday 31 October 2011

CRASSH offers a number of programmes to bring scholars from all over the world to Cambridge - from early career researchers to more established visiting fellows - to interact at the heart of a vibrant interdisciplinary research environment.

Fellowship programmes include CRASSH Visiting Fellowships, Early Career Fellowships, Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship and the Crausaz Wordsworth Fellowship in Philosophy.

CRASSH Visiting Fellowships

CRASSH's Visiting Fellowships support the Centre's thematic activities which in 2011-13 will be Cultures & Politics of the Transregional, responding to the need to approach ‘regionality’ from a humanities perspective. Historically, geographical and legal borders have marked the reach of regional identities. But in an age of globalised movement, borders are constantly being crossed by the flow of travellers, by the transit of goods, by the transfer of new narratives and forms of language, and by the transmission of political and other ideas. Flows across borders and the systems that control them are ever more large-scale and complex in character, and demand rethinking in interdisciplinary and comparative ways. This programme is aimed at established international and UK scholars. Full details are available online here.

Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship

CRASSH's Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship is intended to support earlier-career academics from India with an emphasis on disciplinary innovation and cross-disciplinary enquiry. Full details are available online here.
