The newly established Centre for Advanced Studies Justitia Amplificata ("Rethinking Justice - Applied and Global"), funded by the German Research Council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) at the University of Frankfurt is seeking to appoint three post-doctoral fellows in political theory/political philosophy for the academic
year 2010/2011.
Candidates should have completed, or be close to the completion of, a doctorate in political theory/political philosophy, and should have proven potential to conduct and publish research at an international level. Candidates' research should fall within the
Centre?s areas of focus, namely global justice, applied theories of justice as well as methodological questions of how to apply theories of justice to non-ideal circumstances.
Starting Date: 1 October 2010 (12 months)
We offer a grant of 2000?/month, plus travel costs and a mission allowance. Fellows will be provided with office space at the University's Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at Bad Homburg (Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften, http://www.forschungskolleg-humanwissenschaften.de). They will be expected to present their ongoing research to the members of the Centre and at the University, to cooperate with research activities (including the organization of events close to their research interests).
